QUOTATIONS / ORDERS Quotations are given on the basis of costs at the time of issue. Prices may be amended at any time to reflect a change in cost structure, including any alteration to the rate of VAT. Any props used in photography will not be included.

 

DESCRIPTIONS Please note that items such as candles, glasses, flowers, and other decorations, unless specifically mentioned in the description of the goods should be regarded as props and are not deemed as items included for sale. Please note vintages of the wines may change throughout the year.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS The Wine & Hamper Company endeavours to ensure that photography and descriptions are accurate, we reserve the right to substitute items of similar or greater value, if for any reason those listed are unavailable. Any Christmas seasonal items will automatically be substituted in instances where the hamper is ordered out of season.

 

SECURITY AND PAYMENT We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Cheque. Credit accounts can be arranged subject to the normal checks and approval. Value Added Tax is charged at the current rate where applicable. The Wine & Hamper Company are compliant with the Data Protection Act. We will not pass on your details to any third party without your prior consent. Goods will only be despatched once payment has been received in full, unless a credit account has been applied for and approved. All purchases can be made securely by credit card using SSL, to ensure your private data is encrypted at all times – this is indicated by a solid padlock in your browser.

 

ALCOHOL It is illegal in the UK to sell alcohol to persons under the age of 18. It is also an offence for persons under 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol. No persons under 18 years of age may place an order with The Wine & Hamper Company if the Goods contain alcohol. In accepting these conditions, if you are purchasing alcohol, you are confirming that you are over the age of eighteen and legally allowed to purchase alcoholic drinks.

 

DISPATCH DATES/ FORCE MAJEURE The Wine & Hamper Company will exercise every reasonable effort to meet the requested despatch date. You will be notified as to when you hamper(s) is due for dispatch. The Wine & Hamper Company shall not, however, be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to ship resulting from any cause beyond its reasonable control, such as but not limited to securing necessary export licences, compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts of civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labour disputes, delays in transportation, embargoes, or wars.

 

DELIVERIES Orders are normally delivered via a 48 hour courier service, however, next day delivery can be arranged at a small additional cost (see delivery section for details and additional information). All deliveries must be signed for on receipt. If there is no reply from the delivery address when our Courier delivers your parcel they will try to deliver it on another occasion making sure to leave a card. It is the customers responsibility to respond to that card and arrange a delivery time suitable to them or collect the parcel from their local depot. If no contact is made by the customer with the courier the parcel will be sent back to The Wine & Hamper Company. The parcel can be despatched again at the request of the customer but a second delivery charge will be made.

 

OVERESEAS DELIVERY Sending gifts to other countries and the Channel Isles is now much easier. However different countries apply different regulations to the import of wines and foods, so we recommend you phone us regarding any restrictions and delivery costs. Tel: +44(0)7511609786

 

DAMAGED GOODS If the Goods are damaged the Purchaser should contact The Wine & Hamper Company within 7 days of receipt of Goods. Damaged Goods must be returned to The Wine & Hamper Company suitably packaged. The Wine & Hamper Company will then replace or refund the items concerned.

CANCELLATIONS Customers have the right to cancel an order up to 7 days prior to dispatch, when a full refund minus any administration costs will be credited to the customer via the same medium by which they paid for the goods. Any orders cancelled with less than 7 days notice the customer will be refunded less any charge for perishable goods which cannot be resold. For on line purchases the customer has the right to cancel an order up to 7 days after of receipt of goods. Where this right is exercised you will be refunded the full amount minus any perishable goods, which cannot be resold, and any items, which have been consumed. This refund will take place within 30 days. All goods must be returned in good condition. The purchaser’s credit card will be refunded less any charge for perishable items once the hamper has been returned, suitably packaged.

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number, email address, credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser.
